The Importance of Dental Visits

Why is it important to visit your general dentist at least twice a year?

For years, Americans have been told to “see their dentist every 6 months.” Many do just that. But, for some reason or another, too many do not.

One reason is because a large population of people ONLY goes to the dentist when they are in PAIN. Unfortunately, in a large number of cases, the patients wished they had gone sooner. WHY? This is because they most likely received news that their current issue may result in the loss of a tooth and/or the cost for the necessary treatment is much more than it would have been if they had seen their dentist sooner.

People also describe FEAR as a reason that they don’t see their dentist. A “bad” experience may have occurred which kept them from returning, even for years. A COMPASSIONATE dentist will listen to you and assure you a positive experience.

Many people state that they “can’t afford” to see a dentist when really they can. Many don’t make their teeth, or smile, a PRIORITY and therefore their money gets spent on other, more important, “things.”

Teeth are part of our “body” and require care and management like a car, a house, or more importantly, your blood pressure.

We will screen for ORAL CANCER and take your blood pressure as part of your regular check-up.

Make it a goal of yours this season to see a dentist. You will be glad you did.

Doctors John and Karen Kellogg, owners of Terrell Hills Restorative Dentistry since 1984, are accepting new patients that desire honest, fairly priced dental care in a quiet, one-on-one care setting.

Let us help you learn more about the prevention of dental disease.
